Update

Haven't updated in a long time, and thought I should. So not much has changed.

Jordan had surgery to fix his herniated belly button. After that was done and over with he got a hematoma on his belly button. So know we are waiting to see if it will go away on it's own or if we are going to have to have that fixed too. We go to the Dr. on Tuesday to find out more. Keep your fingers crossed. That hasn't stopped him though! He is quite the little character, so much personality!!!

Makenna had dental surgery in December. It was a long day that day. They kept us at the hospital a very long time to make sure that it wouldn't affect her seizures. Thankfully it didn't! We went to her Neurologist 2 weeks ago, everything is great! We don't have to go back till next year, unless something goes on, and they will do another 24 hr. EEG on her to see where we are at! That is great news. She is still in speech in her preschool and have now added OT to her therapies. We are also adding PT to her therapy list now. I think that about covers it! She is progressing so that is great!

Zach is starting to get an attitude! He has always been my calm, low maintenance kid, but he is starting to have attitude! That's all I need! That will hopefully pass very quickly! He is very excited to start flag football this spring and tackle football in the fall! He asked me all about what he had to do to go on a mission yesterday, he can hardly wait till he is old enough to go! I love that he is excited about that and is doing things to prepare already!

Courtney is going to put me under!!!! She is boy crazy already and we have talks about it very often! She has learned this year that she needs to pick good friends so that she doesn't get into trouble. Unfortunately she had to learn that one the hard way! She got on the Honor Roll last semester, I'm very proud of her for that! I just need to remind myself ofter that she just needs more attention than the rest to live and that I need to be patient with her!

Alex is in Jr. High and is finally adjusting to the change. He has a rocky start but is now doing much better! He is now old enough that I can leave him home with the kids for a little while with out worrying what I will come back to. He loves scouts and is advancing quickly. This is a new experience for me since my brothers were never that into scouts after cub scouts, and John didn't do scouts either. He is a big help and is so good with the little kids! They just love to do things with him!

John and I are the same, nothing new to report there. It's just the same old, same old with us!

So now you are caught up!

Yep It's Summer!!!

So school has been out now for a month. We have been really busy. Alex has already gone on his first boy scout over night camp out, I went to cub scout day camp Alex and Zach both have had a birthday, and we are now at my Mom an Dad's visiting. I have been running and training for a 10k run that I will do on the 4th of July, I'm really excited. I am going to run it with my cousin Emily! It has been a very long time since I had been running so it has been hard. Alex will be taking golf lessons again this summer, he got new ones for his birthday for his Grandpa.
Today is John and I have been married for 13 years. It is hard to believe that it has been that long! It has been wonderful! It's hard to believe that it has been that long already. What a great guy! I hope we have many more happy one just like the last 13.
Well that's what we have done so far and so much more to do before school starts again in August.

Thank You Mr. Dewey!!!!

Alex Decided to honor his 5th grade teacher Mr. Dewey for inspiring him through out the year. Mr. Dewey is one of those teacher you always remember and praise though out your life. He has taken Alex and helped his become a great student and an even better person. He has helped Alex learn great study habits and work ethic to help him in his transition to Jr High. Yes Alex is going to be in Jr. High next year, I just registered him. I can't believe that he is old enough to go to Jr High. That makes me feel really old and I'm not that old. I guess that's what happens when you have your kids young. Any way here you go enjoy the pictures.

Alex before any cutting.

Here goes the first cut!
And there it goes.

So as you can see we are getting snow in April. Not just a little a lot. We have gotten 12+ inches, and it is still coming down. I can't believe it. But we made the best of it and went out and built a snow man, had snow ball fights and believe it or not no accidents:) Yep even John joined in on all the snow fun!

Trip to Iowa

We went to Iowa for the kids spring break, and had a blast. Not enough to want to move back, but still so much fun. We stayed with Ron and Jean (John's Aunt and Uncle). We did a lot of things and saw a lot of people. The kids were on the go all day long and as you can see from the pictures they all crashed every night. Zach even fell asleep sitting up.

We stopped at Debbie's grave sight( John's Mom). While we were there Jordan and Makenna sat down and started chatting right there on Debbie's tomb stone, So cute!

Courtney posing on the tire swing for the picture, so much like her Grandma Mare!

These are all the cousins that live in Iowa.

WE went on the Harley!!!!!! Zach the is the man.

Courtney is such a Little Harley Chic!

The gangster and the farmer racing down the hills.

Jordan wants to race too.

And so does John.

We had a great trip and loved seeing all of the friends and family we left behind out there! Love the visit and glad to be back home.

Ode to the Fam.

I have had my family on my mind lately missing them all so much. I just wanted to tell you why they are so special and dear to my heart!

Heather is such a kind hearted and giving person! She is always thinking of ways to give. She is a school teacher of 6th graders! That is a very hard age to have to deal with and she loves it! She buys my kids t-shirts of all the different holidays. I just love that she takes the time and funds to go out and find each of them such great shirts. We look forward to seeing what she will sends next.

Denise is full of wisdom, she has an answer to everything! She know just about everything. I know if I have smart people questions she know the answer. She has also helped me learn to cook, which I love to do. We use to make the pies together for Thanksgiving. That was so much fun! I loved living with her before I got married, we had a great deal of fun!!!!

Jenny has been one of my best friend my entire life. I have always been able to talk to her about anything! She is a very strong person. She is a great mother. I don't think I could handle what she does all the time! I watch and learn great thing from her, and always have, and always will.

Nephi has been my rock! Both physically and spiritually. He has this gift of being able to comfort. I have come to him to get support many of times. He has protected me when things go rough in High School, and supported me when making decisions. What a great man he is and always has been. My kids for year told their primary teachers that their uncle was the real Nephi in the Book of Mormon, I think he is that kind of man!

Kristie has been my fun and joy. We have has such great times together. She has been my own personal happiness maker. Yes even when she was in one of her moods she could make me smile. I need that so many times in my life. She has a heart of gold!

Andy is the GQ man, always wanting to look his best. I am honored that you have let me into your life and hard times. I know that things have been hard, but he has something about him that radiates. I love him.

Mom and Dad have always been there for me and still are! I have always been able to depend on them for anything that I need. What a great feeling to know that you have someone who, despite all the things I have done and been through, they still love and support me!! Thank you. They are the world to me. What great examples they are for me and my family!

Thank you all for all you do for me and my family. You strengthen and make me a better person. I love you all!!!

When it rains it poors!

So not only have I not exercised in a week, from lack of energy. I feel like things are falling a part!!! I know I am having a pity potty, but I am going crazy! Everyone has has this cold that never ends, Zach however never seemed to get rid of it. Then he started running a temp., not just a little temp. either, 104 for 3 days straight. I took him into the Dr. yesterday and he has Walking Pneumonia! So if that was bad enough Sunday night Jordan was twirling around tripped over a bowl and into the corner of the wall he went. ER here we come, no stitches required only staples, 2 in his head. We need rubber bumpers on the corners of the wall. Not enough, OK. Last night Alex threw a hard foam sward down the stairs, and yes it hit Courtney right in the eye! It cut her eye open. I refused to go to the ER yet again so I took steri-strips and taped her cut closed. We put ice on it, gave her some Motrin for the pain and sent them all to bed. Her eye is swollen today, she can only open it a sliver. Can anything else go wrong??? It comes in 3's right! I'm done right! I sure hope so I can't deal with much more.
